The Historic Poimena Reserve

Back to where it all began...

Poimena Reserve Disc Golf Course is the oldest basket course in Australia and the southern hemisphere, established in 1985. The course is located in Austins Ferry, a quiet suburb 10km north of Hobart in Tasmania. The trees, bush, sloping greens and altitude changes make this course an exciting challenge to players of all ability levels.

1985 - Course installed with 9 baskets. Held the Australian Open from 1985

2007 - Course redesigned and 9 new baskets added

2011 & 2015 - Hosted the Australian Disc Golf Championships
